Some of you may know that my BIL (Brother in Law!) is getting married soon! Unlike some stereotypes, I get along really well with my brother in law, so I was really happy to be able to photograph his engagement session with his new fiancé, Kara. She’s a great match for him, and working with them in the studio, just as I would any other couple, I got to see how they interact on a different level than what meets the eye. I can tell you, these two won’t be bored much, they really seem to “get” each other, and don’t even mess with their awesome high-five, low-five, whatever-it-is-handshake-thing!
Their romance has been somewhat of a whirlwind and it’s been really fun to watch it grow. Since they got engaged right around Thanksgiving, but are getting married this summer, Kara wanted an engagement session that incorporated vintage Christmas tree lights (which happen to complement the vintage touches of the wedding), but we also wanted to make sure that they had beautiful couples portraits that didn’t look Christmas themed.
Kara’s idea, combined with my style and direction, and…. well… some playing in the studio, all added up to a lot of really fun photos. I think that their personalities and love is clear in these engagement photos, and I hope you think so, too.
Corey and Kara, I look forward to seeing the beauty of your marriage and where it takes you in life! May you only love each other more each day!
